Cabinet made by the Ingraham Company of Bristol, Connecticut.  Famous for their wooden 
clock cabinets, the Ingraham Company produced many radio cabinets for Emerson Radio.

This radio is so small, it could be called a "miniature" model.

1946 SONORA RCU-208  AM
The Ingraham Company provided cabinets for manufacturers other than Emerson Radio,
as seen in this Sonora model. Sonora Radio's slogan "clear as a bell" is evidenced in the 
design above the dial, and their logo. An identical looking model RCU-206 was first made in 1939.

We went radio hunting one day, and bagged a "big one"!  (43" high - 27" wide - 16" deep)
This great old Zenith floor model console features a green tuning eye (sometimes called a "magic eye")

See how the dial face is "stationized"  with radio station call letters 
printed right on the dial - a real piece of radio history in itself !

1946 BELMONT  6D111  AM
The Belmont "Streamliner". Art deco styling at its finest, 
and pushbutton tuning!  One of the most desired collectible radios.
First made in 1940 as the model 638, it was re-introduced after WW2 in 1946 as the 6D111.

1953 CROSLEY  E-15BE  AM
Often called a "dashboard" radio because of its design
similarity with automotive dashboards of the time.

(Crosley radios were made in both the U.S. and Canada)

1952 CROSLEY  D-25TN  AM
Another Crosley design strongly influenced by automotive styling. 
This is a clock radio with an AC outlet on the side. 
Set the alarm and have it turn on your coffee pot in the morning!

1951 CROSLEY  11-105U  AM
Often referred to as a "center bulls eye" radio and again with automotive styling cues. 
How about that wonderful 50's apple-green color?  This is a small radio, only 9 1/2" wide.

This one is called a "left bulls eye" radio for obvious reason.
Like most plastic Crosley radios, it was made in a variety of colors.

1946 BENDIX 526A  AM
Bendix Aviation Corporation returned to manufacturing radios after World War 2.
This radio was easy to move around the home with its built in carrying handle (see back view).

This radio features pushbutton tuning, and its chassis and tuning

Of course, the original had only standard broadcast AM.

1949 SILVERTONE  7020  AM
Called the "Candy Cane" model because of the shape of the tuning dial and how it
extends across the front of the radio. These were originally made in both bakelite and metal, 
although the metal models were usually painted in some mundane color, not refinished in 
chrome and gold like this one.

Often called "metal midgets", because they are metal and they are small ! 
This is a 4 tube radio,  it's only 6" wide and 5" high.
The smallest tube radio in our collection.

GENERAL COMMUNICATIONS RECEIVER  AM / SW
Originally sold in the mid to late 60's as a build-it-yourself kit.
I built one of these when I was a kid - nice to have one again.
This one is complete with the original assembly manual.
Maybe I'll take it apart and re-assemble it !
